Welcome to SkilledUp Life. SkilledUp Life is a two-sided marketplace connecting skilled Volunteers with early-stage Tech Startups. The SkilledUp Life website is owned and operated by SkilledUp Life Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (United Kingdom).

By accessing or using our website or services ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service immediately.

Please note that both Volunteer and Company profiles are public, and search engines may index publicly available pages. SkilledUp Life has no control over search engines or other third-party indexing services. Email and mobile numbers are not publicly available.

1. Definitions

1.1 Volunteer (SkilledUp Lifer)

SkilledUp Lifers are adults over 18 years of age who uses SkilledUp Life to gain experiences and skills through volunteering. Volunteers cannot earn cash, crypto, digital currencies, shares, options, warrants, sweat equity, tokens, vouchers, or any taxable benefit in kind. Volunteer Opportunities are provided by early-stage tech startups, including SkilledUp Life.

1.2 Companies (Tech Startups)

Companies building scalable digital products. The following are not allowed to register or use SkilledUp Life:

• Software development agencies.
• Consultancies.
• Digital marketing agencies.
• Digital transformation firms.
• Service companies.

Company profiles created by excluded entities will be removed without notification.

Anyone who is planning to build a tech startup and subscribes to our service is considered a tech startup, even if not yet incorporated. We allow anyone with an idea to create a Company Account and leverage SkilledUp Lifers to turn the idea into a thriving technology company.

2. Volunteer Terms of Use

Volunteers must be 18 years or older. If you are under 18, you must not create an account. If you do, we retain the right to remove your account without notification.

Volunteers offer their time free of charge to gain experience and skills for career development. Volunteers cannot earn any monetary or non-monetary reward through SkilledUp Life. SkilledUp Life is free for Volunteers. We plan to introduce paid volunteer accounts in the future which will include additonal features and functionality. The core service for volunteers will always operate as a free service.

All volunteer accounts are self managed. The responsibility for retaining the up to date resides with the Volunteer. Volunteers must create an account and complete their profile before applying for any Opportunity. Volunteers can apply for a maximum of 3 Opportunities at any givene time.

A Volunteer Term shall last no more than 90 Volunteer days (3 months). However, a Volunteer Term can be mutually extended.

Opportunities are created by Tech Companies. SkilledUp Life is not responsible for their accuracy. No Opportunity may begin without:

• A personal interview, and
• A signed Volunteer Agreement between both parties.

SkilledUp Life may mediate issues but holds no legal responsibility for disputes between Volunteers and Tech Companies.

Volunteers may not advertise paid services through SkilledUp Life. They will be given 7 days' notice to remove such content; failure to comply may result in account deletion without further notification.

Volunteers must not display personal contact details on the public-facing body of their profile. Contact information in designated fields is visible only to Companies after applying for an Opportunity. Admin has access to personal contact details any time.

3. Tech Company Terms of Use

SkilledUp Life is available only to tech startups building scalable digital products.Tech startups must subscribe to a pricing plan to access services. Companies should interview Volunteers before commencing an opportunity. Each Opportunity should ideally last 3 months. No Opportunity may commence without a signed Volunteer Agreement.

Companies must notify SkilledUp Life of any issues with Volunteers; we may mediate but are not responsible for outcomes. Companies may not pay Volunteers or provide any taxable or non-taxable benefit. Companies may not promise future paid work during interviews or before/during volunteer engagements. If a company wishes to hire a Volunteer after the Volunteer Agreement ends, they must sign a separate commercial agreement outside of SkilledUp Life. SkilledUp Life plays no role in such arrangements.

4. Information We Collect

SkilledUp Life stores any user-submitted data as part of normal operation. Email communications may be stored by our email service providers. We may store email conversation data with Companies in our CRM. We use Google Analytics and similar tools to track usage. We use Tawk for live chat support. 5. Accounts, Passwords and Security

SkilledUp Life does not have access to user passwords. Users are responsible for keeping login credentials secure and keeping the accounts up to date includng their profiles. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised access or security breach.

6. Conditions

SkilledUp Life owns the data stored within the platform. Users may delete their accounts at any time, which will remove profile data from our servers. Refer to Privacy Policy for more information. Our service is hosted by Amazon Web Services.Payments are processed by Stripe. SkilledUp Life does not store credit or debit card details.

7. Company Account Deletion

We may delete a Company account if:

• It violates any part of these Terms.
• It does not meet our qualifying criteria as a tech startup.
• It is more than 6 months old and has never subscribed.
• It previously subscribed but has not subscribed within the last 12 months.
• It contains an inactive email address (email bounces).

8. Company Data (Volunteer Opportunities and Applications) Deletion

All Volunteer Opportunities are deleted within 48 hours of subscription cancellation.

All Volunteer application data is deleted within 48 hours of subscription cancellation.

Deleted data may be retrieved within 14 days for a £50 retrieval fee.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on our website. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
